We're flying out tonight to be in FLL tomorrow in time to board Royal Carribbean Cruise Line''s Oasis of the Seas to attend a week-long travel conference. We're expecting it to be highly productive as we cement existing relationships with our travel suppliers and foster new relationships--all so that our clients get VIP treatment when they travel with us. We'll try to post pix of Oasis of The Seas to FB from our cell phones.

What a festival! Includes events at Muckross House which we just visited last month--amazing gardens--and a writers' festival and the Rose of Tralee. We'll be offering exclusive and unique packages through Sceptre Tours if you want to give us a jingle.

Calling all IT and computer geeks. Plan ahead to indulge in your favorite subject (computers and Web technologies) in a world-class environment, appropriately the birthplace of the Renaissance--Florence. In 2015, Florence has earned the prestigious right to host the 25th International Conference on the World Wide Web. What an amazing city in which to hold a conference. Good thing we have excellent contacts in Florence and know the city well!

Hurray for Holland America Cruise Line! They've introduced a new vegetarian/vegan menu throughout their entire fleet which sounds totally delectable. Fantastic news for meatless diners who will no longer have to be content with lettuce leaves or boiled potatoes while the other passengers dine on gourmet meals. We'll be sure to recommend HAL to our vegetarian clients who enjoy great dining adventures as integral to a great cruising experience. Kudos to HAL for recognizing this group of clients

The logic of this escapes us: Rome, Italy wants to build a theme park replicating ancient Rome. Huh??? It's already full of antiquities--who needs a pretend-antiquity? Would anybody actually patronize this theme park when you have the real thing in front of you? Just wondering...http://usat.ly more

Just read that Chef Gordon James Ramsay is opening his first Las Vegas, Nevada restaurant next month, called Gordon Ramsay Steak. It'll be on the Strip in Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. At this point, is there ANY celebrity chef who DOESN'T have a restaurant in LV? This town has become a culinary mecca; such a contrast from its long-ago reputation for mediocre buffets. My oh my.

2012 is apparently bringing many historic events to England. P&O Cruises, to celebrate its 175th anniversary, is bringing its entire fleet to Southampton on the same day. First time ever. Should be quite a sight to see 7 huge vessels all in port at the same time. They plan to sail in a procession, and then, as the channel widens, break out into formation before sailing off on their separate paths. We can't wait to see the pix from this! We understand that accommodations are almost completely sol more

We just love the Calabria region in Italy. It's definitely off the radar of most tourists, which is a shame because it's beautiful, unspoiled, amazing vistas, the food is spectacular, and it's really really economical. Had a fun meeting the other day to pool our group's myriad interests to see where they overlap/diverge. Much to report today. First of all, England is quite in the news. Of course the rest of the world has caught on to the fact that Queen Elizabeth is celebrating her Diamond Jubilee this year. We have been planning to attend her Jubilee since last May! :-) We are bringing an exclusive group of 8 people to England to cavort with the Queen and then tour the rest of England after London. Should be loads of fun and definitely memorable!

Ireland is all abuzz about the 100 yr anniversary of the Titanic. On April 7, they're going to open the new exhibit in Belfast (where the ship was built), and it sounds pretty awesome.
