Things to See and Do
Metropolitan Cathedral
Is the largest and oldest cathedral in the Americas and seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mexico. It is situated atop the former Aztec sacred precinct near the Templo Mayor on the northern side of the Plaza de la Constitución in downtown Mexico City.
Templo Mayor
This archaeological site was discovered in the second half of the twentieth century, during the construction of the subway in Mexico City. Since then, important investigations have been realized to know more precisely the Aztec Empire in its times of glory from the north-central part of Mexico to Central America.
Alameda Central Park
A green garden with paved paths, decorative fountains and statues such as the Hemicycle to Benito Juarez, and is frequently the center of civic events. The area used to be an Aztec marketplace. -
