Kilcoran Lodge Hotel, Holiday Lodges & Leisure Centre is steeped in history, originally built in the 19th century as the Earl of Glengall’s hunting lodge. The hotel is a favourite for locals and guests alike because of its old world charm and character. It enjoys a quite but central location with easy access to the bustling town of Cahir. The walls are adorned with a personal collection of photo’s going back a century documenting the hotel over the years. The hotels cosy atmosphere and blazing fires make it a welcome retreat after a day sight seeing or hill walking in this beautiful region. The warmth and friendly staff will envelop you with a Cead Mile Failte as soon as you step inside.
The hotel boosts 22 well appointed rooms, each with en suite bathrooms, satellite television, direct dial telephone & tea/coffee making facilities. General
Our newly refurbished elegant ballroom can host up to 200 guests. Our ballroom is built for comfort, ambience and luxury in mind, the perfect place to hold a wedding reception or celebration party. At Kilcoran Lodge Hotel we are HSE approved to hold Civil Ceremonies.
Saddlers Restaurant can seat up to 50 guests for a more informal dining experience with your guests.
Our Glengall suite is also available for formal or informal events to suit your requirements and seats up to 60 people.
Our experience in delivering the finest and freshest Irish Ingredients in a high quality presentation is second to none, served by our friendly and professional team, Saddlers Restaurant open daily for breakfast from 7.30am – 10.00am. Lunch is served from 12pm until 3pm and 4pm on Sundays.
Our full A La Carte menu from 3pm with a large selection to choose from, Early Bird Menu is served daily from 5pm – 8pm.
For a quick bite to eat we also have an excellent snack menu with homemade soups & sandwiches. We are also happy to cater for any special requests, dietary requirements and have a medley of vegetarian options to choose from.

Things to See and Do
Cahir Castle (8km) is one of Irelands largest and best preserved castles situated on a rocky island on the river Suir.
Not far from the castle is the beautiful Swiss Cottage (9km) built in the 1800’s by Richard Butler the 1st Earl of Glengall. The famous architect John Nash designed the Swiss Cottage. Its interior contains a graceful spiral staircase and elegantly directed rooms. The wallpaper in the Salon manufactured by the Dufour factory is one of the first commercially produced Parisian wallpapers.
The Rock of Cashel (15km) is the most famous landmark in Ireland. A spectacular group of mediaeval buildings set on an outcrop of limestone in the heart of the golden vale. Its stunningly beautiful round tower & Romanesque chapel is a must see.
Mitchlestown Caves (5km) is a must on your itinerary; it is one of Europe’s Major Show Caves. You will find yourself surrounded be drip stone formations; stalactites, stalagmites & graceful calcite curtains hang from sloping roofs.
