Welcome aboard to the ten lucky winners from Germany who won a special six day adventure tour of Northern Ireland with Vagabond. The nationwide radio competition was run by leading german tour operator, Dertour, in conjunction with Tourism Ireland, Germany (the Irish Tourist Board) and Hr3 Radio station. Going for a walk in Gougane Barra at the end of day one on a Vagabond southern tour of Ireland (22nd April 2012). It was a fantastic way to finish a superb day (which also included the Rock of Dunamase, The Rock of Cashel and the Blarney Stone - it was a busy day)

And finally today, the gang today arriving back off the ferry back from the Aran Islands. While they took the ferries across from Doolin to the islands and then across to Galway, we drove round and met them. They are now enjoying staying at the fabulous Ballynahinch Castle Hotel. A big welcome to Shay Mitchell and Jody Rebak on their arrival Ireland. After meeting the girls yesterday morning at Dublin airport, and after a quick photo shoot, we headed across to the beautiful west coast of ireland for some cycling along the shore of Clew Bay in County mayo, followed by a delicious bowl of bowl mussels. Next we drove up into the Sheefry Mountains to spend the night at the luxury Delphi Mountain resort.

Some excellent Irish music from the highly talented singer/songwriter - Wendy Jack. Who also happens to be a Vagabond Driver-guide. Not only can she sing and play the guitar, she is very good at reversing large vehicles with trailers. Its a talented bunch we have working here. more
